LumiStar™ XB In-Roadway Marker
LumiStar is a solar-powered, wirelessly controlled, in-roadway lighting marker. Two high-brightness LEDs provide a highly-visible warning to drivers of pedestrian presence or hazardous road conditions up to 2,000 feet away even in full bright sunlight.
PROVEN PERFORMANCE
The LumiStar XB has proven itself in the field to be effective and reliable, able to withstand the stresses of an in-road environment and inclement weather.
High-efficiency solar cells provide the daylight power to run the lights, while at the same time charging the backup batteries for night-time use. When fully charged the battery can power the LumiStar marker for up to 30 days*.
POWER MANAGEMENT
The new smart power management software further increases the battery life of the unit by automatically controlling the light output depending on ambient lighting conditions.
WIRELESS CONTROL
The LumiStar XB marker is controlled by the transceiver operating in the 2.4 GHz frequency band. Our proprietary protocol ensures reliable interference-free operation.
OTHER FEATURES
- Quick Installation: No trenching or saw-cutting of the roadway is required because LumiStar XB markers are solar-powered and use wireless radio control.

Microsoft Windows™ Software: The optional configurator software comes with a
wireless programmer and is used for convenient reprogramming of LumiStar markers.
The software allows you to:
- Change flashing patterns: New patterns may be easily created using the Configurator software.
- Usage statistics: Pedestrian counts and status information may be gathered wirelessly using the Configurator software.
